We would like to thank for all remarkable gestures of solidarity and support that the Auschwitz Museum is experiencing in the period of forced shut down due to coronavirus epidemic because of which the Memorial is not available for visitors.

“We are trying to refund the money paid for the ordered guided visits planned for the period of Museum shutdown. However, some of these visitors declared that they do not want their money back. In view of a very difficult financial situation of the Museum, I would like to express my words of thanks and deep gratitude on behalf of all Memorial Site employees and guardians”, said Dr. Piotr M. A. Cywiński, PhD Museum director.

“Thanks to your support it will be a little easier for us to survive this period, extremely difficult for all of us, including the Museum. I believe that in a few months we will meet again on the paths of memory at Auschwitz-Birkenau”, Piotr Cywiński emphasized.

If you would like to support us or just remain in contact, follow the Memorial Site online: on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), through online lessons, the possibility of a virtual visit or the still published Memoria magazine.
