A hundred cantors

At the turn of June and July, a hundred Jewish cantors from many countries visited Poland. They are members of the Cantors’ Assembly. Aside from giving a concert at the Great Theater-National Opera and an appearance to mark the start of the construction of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, they also came to Oświęcim. They toured the site of the Auschwitz camp

Summer School

The fourth edition of the Holocaust Teaching Summer School has been completed. The project is aimed at teachers, students, trainers, and leaders of non-governmental organizations from all over Poland that deal with the subject of the Holocaust.

Overcoming Hatred

Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh, leader of the British Sikhs, and Master Hsin Tao Shih, a Buddhist teacher and the founder of the Museum of World Religions in Taipei, paid a visit to the Auschwitz Memorial.

65 Years Ago

65 years ago, in May 1944, the Germans began the deportation to Auschwitz of approximately 400 thousand Jews from Hungary. It was the largest one-time killing operation in the history of Auschwitz.

New Premises

After almost five years of efforts, it will be possible to set up the headquarters of the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust in the building known as the “Old Theater.”
