Thank you for your solidarity and generosity
We wish to express our deepest gratitude to all those who have responded to our appeal for financial assistance during the pandemic, which was a challenging time for the Memorial. Your support will facilitate the continuation of some educational, scientific, exhibition and publishing projects.
Over the course of a week, we received donations from over 2,200 people from all over the world amounting to over half a million Polish zloty.
‘The money collected will be fully allocated to the functioning of our institution of memory. It is very important to us in these difficult times. It is also very important for us to see that we are not left alone, that so many people see the need for their solidarity and generosity. It raises real hopes for the future," said Museum Director Dr. Piotr M. A. Cywiński.
During the period of closure to visitors, the Museum found itself in a particularly difficult situation, as it lost its most significant source of funding. The continuity of the institution's operation and jobs were preserved thanks to the special assistance of the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Without additional resources, the performance of our statutory activities would have been seriously in doubt.
We are continually asking for your help and support for our mission. Donations can be made through our website donate.auschwitz.org or a direct deposit to our bank account:
