International Summer Academy in German - recruitment information
We are pleased to announce the Third International Summer Academy in German organized by the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, as part of educational programs organized at the International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust. It will take place on August 22 – 28, 2015. Application deadline is July 10, 2015.
The Summer Academy addresses teachers, educators, museologists, researchers and all those who are interested in the historical, sociological and religious aspects of Auschwitz and the Holocaust.
The Academy is a combination of an encounter with the original historical place, with the memorial site and the museum as an institution, along with the knowledge shared by experts in the field: museum staff and invited researchers. Participants will join study guided tours of the former camps Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau; they will also visit Museum Archives, Collections and Preservation Department. All participants will receive certificates.
