Prof. Marina Pignatelli has been appointed Honorary Consul of the Auschwitz Memorial in Portugal. She will support the actions undertaken by the Diplomacy of Remembrance of the Auschwitz Museum in this country.
More than 200,000 students from over 10,000 Italian schools took part on 26 January in a special, showcase online visit to the Auschwitz Memorial Site. This was made possible thanks to the platform “Auschwitz. In Front of Your Eyes”.
Starting March 1, individual visitors will be able to make reservations for all entry cards exclusively online through the official system at visit.auschwitz.org. This applies to both guided tours and free admission. The change will make it easier for visitors to plan their visits and eliminate queues at the Museum entrance
433 historical documents scheduled for sale at an auction house in Neuss, Germany, in November last year, were entrusted to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation. The official handover took place on 30 January at the seat of the parliament of the German federal state of North Rhine–Westphalia.
Images from www.auschwitz.org may be used only in publications relating to the history of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau or the activities of the Auschwitz Memorial. Their use must not tarnish the good reputation of the victims of KL Auschwitz. Any interference in the integrity of the images – including cropping or graphic processing – is prohibited. The use of the images for commercial purposes requires the Museum’s approval and information about the publication.
